So what is a Bell Lyre? Well you may have heard of a Bell Tree, a percussion instrument that consists of inverted metal bowls arranged in order of pitch onto a vertical rod. Now imagine a Lyre, a graceful instrument from ancient Greece with two curved arms used to accompany a singer or reciter of poetry. Now combine the two together, think big..no bigger and tough for the outdoor world and ding dong the Bell Lyre is born!

Our Bell Lyre is an outdoor instrument made of 8 graduated stainless steel bells presented within a beautiful contemporary stand reminiscient of a Lyre.

The bells range in diameter from nearly 4 inches to 11 inches and ‘sing’ when struck with the attached beaters.  Each bell emits its own sound with sweet, gentle tones from the bells at the top and deep, sonorous ‘gong’ like sounds of the bottom bells.
